Position:            Staff Clinician II 

Classification:   Full-time, Exempt

Reports to:         Program Coordinator

Location:            South Central and Hill Country Region (Counties: Edwards, Bandera, Gonzales, Karnes, and Comal)

Position Description:

DePelchin is seeking Staff Clinicians with a Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field to provide direct services to children and families who are referred to DePelchin by Family-Based Safety Services (FBSS) in the South Central and Hill Country Region.  The Staff Clinician will provide evidence-based therapeutic services to children and their families which enable them to deal with problems identified. These services will be provided primarily in-homes as well as virtual, offices, schools or other institutions.  

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or related field.
  • LMSW, LPC Intern or LMFT Intern; or
  • Be in the process of applying for an LPC or LMFT Intern license; or
  • Be eligible to take the state certification test at the social worker level.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Available to work flexible hours which vary according to client needs.
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid Texas Driver License.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Entry level with one year's experience.
  • One (1) year experience in case management, crisis intervention, or child welfare.

Work Conditions:

  • Travel - Frequent. Must be able to drive regionally (Mileage reimbursed) within the five counties in the South Central and Hill Country Region.  These counties include Edwards, Bandera, Gonzales, Karnes, and Comal. 
  • Range of Schedule - Monday-Saturday, 7:00 am - 9:00 pm, Occasional nights or weekends.


  • DePelchin will provide training in the following therapeutic models within the first year of employment: Functional Family Therapy (FFT) and Brief Strategic Family Therapy (BSFT) models. 
  • Employment is contingent on the acquisition of minimal certification/licensure.
